PandaPrank marks the city's trajectory with its "Street Runner" themed footwear, opening up physical space and activating our natural instincts to move. No need for complicated equipment or specific locations—unlock the runway of life anytime, anywhere.       What is the essence of movement? The breathlessness, muscle soreness, and sweat dripping during a run... Every detail in running, these unquantifiable individual experiences, are the true texture of life. As efficiency and meritocracy increasingly permeate every aspect of our lives, we become accustomed to giving purpose to every action, obsessing over better outcomes. However, in the real world, effort may still be in vain, and effort and reward are not always proportional. It’s about experiencing the process of change, maintaining a calm mindset, and going with the flow—only then will you avoid "sinking." There’s no need to chase meaning; run without purpose. Whether you reach your destination or not, you’ll feel the rhythm and strength of life. Lop Nur, in the eastern Tarim Basin of Xinjiang, China, is a vast land steeped in mystery and legend. Dubbed the “Sea of Death,” its extreme conditions and rich history continue to lure off-road adventurers in search of challenge. Traversing Lop Nur is not only a conversation with history and a gesture of respect to nature—it’s a journey of honor for the truly bold.     In the desert, all is wind and sand. Time leaves its heaviest marks before vanishing, and the footprints of those who pass are quietly swallowed by the dunes. As explorer Wilfred Thesiger wrote in Arabian Sands: “The appeal of the desert lies in its uncompromising nature. You must face it with complete humility and complete courage.” When the tires of an off-road vehicle first press into the soft dunes, the universe of sand begins to flow with a howl. In that moment, PandaPrank finds a primal resonance with nature, launching a spiritual expedition for the modern soul.     The boundless sands veil both matter and meaning beneath their curtain. Though seemingly still, the desert is constantly reshaped by the erosive power of wind. Plants and animals here evolve in astonishing ways to survive, embodying an untamed vitality and merging completely with their environment. Off-roaders ride with the wind, reflecting in solitude, attuned to the whispers of nature and the designs carved by time itself. As we step into the final chapter of 2024, PandaPrank reflects on a year of exploration, creativity, and the fusion of diverse cultural elements. From the snowy forests of Altai to the sun-drenched beaches of Weizhou Island, each destination has shaped our design philosophy and inspired the products that define us. JanuaryAltaiN45°00–48°03' E88°10'-90°31' In January’s winter, we entered the snow forest of Altai. It turns out that forests don’t only have one color. Snow presses down on the branches, with smoke rising straight up. The viewfinder freezes the pure white, leaving footprints along the way. In the vast plain, occasional bare branches of trees appear, the survival landscape of several generations of nomads captured in one frame. The long winter tilts all of nature toward us.   FebruaryQinghaiE98°05′35″-101°02′06″ N37°25′16″-39°05′18″ In February, the snow on the Qilian Mountains gradually melts. We traveled thousands of miles to visit the mountain ranger, Garideng. The weather wasn’t as extreme as we had imagined. To photograph the animals of the northwest, we hiked and set up infrared cameras. A 4-hour, more than 10-kilometer journey, the sky above was clear, the snow-capped mountains rolling, and beneath us stretched vast grasslands. After a long wait, we captured footage of a resting snow leopard, a strolling roe deer, and a fleeting Tibetan fox. Sunlight bathed the earth, and in this forest, we realized that life is like this forest. Every individual occupies their place, interdependent, together forming a complete and mysterious ecosystem. We downloaded offline maps, checked our gear, and the moment we stepped onto the pedals, the wilderness adventure officially began. After 3–4 hours in the no-man’s land, there was no signal on our phones. After an hour of driving, we encountered a muddy, challenging road, and eventually, we arrived at the place most resembling Mars on Earth — Inner Mongolia’s Dahuoshan. Turns out, there is a patch of red on the Inner Mongolia grasslands. AprilWeizhou IslandN20°54’-21°10‘ E109°00–109°15‘ Chasing the 36-degree wind, I sat by the boat, waiting with my rod. In April, the summer came earlier in Beihai. After traveling from the northwest down south, the excitement of the sea beckoned. That afternoon, upon reaching the beach, the blue that greeted my eyes was refreshing, but soon I noticed the trash scattered around — plastic bottles, metal, cigarette butts… Some stayed on the shore, others were swept into the sea by the tide. This inspired our new series, focusing on marine environmental protection. Abandoned fishing nets, endangered fish species, and old equipment became the design inspiration.   MayFujian / Songxia FerryN23°33′-28°20′ E115°50′-120°40′ At Songxia Ferry, we discovered a unique profession. With a single breath, they search for delicious seafood in the cracks of underwater rocks, a fine oxygen tube several dozen meters long serving as their lifeline. Unlike divers, people often call them “sea frogs.” As the saying goes, “Eat from the mountains if you live by them, eat from the sea if you live by the sea.” These sea frogs, living off the natural bounty of the ocean, have also extended their hands to the sea, rescuing drowning tourists, cleaning up floating trash, and saving trapped marine creatures. They’ve done this countless times over the years.   JuneHainanN3°30′-20°17′ E108°15′-120°05′ In June’s blazing summer, diving into the deep blue was like entering a fantastical alternate dimension. With a group of young people who had escaped the city, we surfed the waves, adjusting and adapting with each ride. The waves were unpredictable, crashing on us. The sea will never be calm, but we can sway along with it, finding peace together.   JulyHaohua IslandE109.15° N19.40° Tired of the ground, let’s change our perspective on the world. When the sea is upside down, it’s actually another sky. Jumping from above Haohua Island, embracing the air currents, feeling the flow of my mind. Overcoming my fear of heights, waiting patiently for good weather. Capturing the perfect shot requires not only patience but also energy. AugustShandongN39°54′-40°44′ E112°06′-114°33′ How extreme can one embrace the sky? Probably by igniting a hot air balloon at dawn, or jumping off from high altitude with a wingsuit. We hiked tens of kilometers to reach the mountaintop, then climbed into the hot air balloon before sunrise to get closer to the sky. The blank canvas of inspiration was suddenly filled, and the design ideas became clearer at an altitude of thousands of meters. SeptemberLiaoningE118°53′-125°46′ N38°43′-43°26′ The “30,000-meter exploration plan” officially kicked off. We successfully released a pair of shoes into the sky, reaching the stratosphere, and brought them safely back to earth. The theme evolved once again, and the team turned past dreams into reality. A group of us drove hundreds of kilometers, stayed awake for more than 20 hours, working toward the same goal. Finally, we captured the precious image of the shoes coexisting with the sun and moon. When we decided to do this, no one knew the outcome, but when it comes to “MAKESOME CHANGES,” we are serious. OctoberSichuan WestE97°21’-106°3’ N27°10’-34°19’ The creativity on the shoe’s upper wasn’t enough, and the sole modification had much more room for imagination. After numerous efforts, PandaPrank finally received exclusive authorization from Vibram, becoming the world’s first officially licensed derivative brand. The “PTS-PRO TREKKING SYSTEM” high-performance sole replacement system was launched, and the first interchangeable shoe was finally unveiled. PandaPrank turned outdoor passion into tangible products — a pair of shoes that can switch between urban and outdoor modes. This is our sincere work as a derivative brand. We created two flash spaces, distinct in style yet complementary. One was in the wilderness facing the King of the Sichuan Mountains — Gongga Mountain, and the other was in a top city shopping district. When outdoor landscapes enter the city, and cityscapes flash across outdoor spaces, an extreme visual contrast is staged, allowing for a seamless transition between outdoor and urban environments. NovemberYunnanE97°31′-106°11′ N21°8′-29°15′ In 2023, we planted a field of Isatis Root in Dali, helping to revive the ancient non-hereditary tie-dyeing technique. Using the 24 solar terms as markers, we observed the changes in the Isatis Root field, witnessing the power of nature through the seasons. After a year of hard work, the harvest finally arrived. During the ripening of the wheat, we held a flash event in Yunnan’s Zhoucheng, sharing the joy with everyone. DecemberDaxinganlingE121°10′53″-127°01′21″ N50°07′02″-53°33′42″ Everything cycles. When we departed, the snow was falling everywhere, and when we returned, the snow still blanketed the southern mountains. Finally, we met with our fellow members of the Evenki tribe, took time to understand their culture, and hiked along the snow forests of Daxinganling, following the reindeer’s feeding grounds. Skydiving Series | A Free Soul Cannot Be Confined to the Land

"Through the windows of the CBD skyscrapers, looking at the sky, forgetting about Excel sheets and afternoon meetings, only wanting to fly out."In July, the heat in Danzhou was intense, with temperatures reaching 37°C. The scorching sun greeted the PandaPrank team as soon as we stepped off the plane, welcoming us to Hainan with its fiery embrace.     At the agreed meeting point, we met Frank, the skydiver for the shoot, and together we drove to the Haibao Island base. Haibao Island is an artificial reclaimed island located between Paipu Port and Yangpu Port in Danzhou City, Hainan Province. On the way to Haibao Island, the sun was blinding, but Frank appeared completely accustomed to it.During our conversation, we learned that in addition to being a skydiving instructor, Frank is also involved in diving and sailing activities, and is currently learning wingsuit flying. When asked why he got into skydiving, Frank shared that he remembered one workday afternoon, standing in his office building looking out the window. Suddenly, he forgot about the Excel sheets and afternoon meetings and just wanted to fly out.At the skydiving base, Frank demonstrated the necessary training and precautions before a jump, such as thoroughly checking the parachute, helmet, altimeter, and alarm system. Besides preparing the equipment, mental preparation is equally important—getting the body and mind into the best possible state is key to a successful skydive.   Surrendering to GravityWe boarded a Cessna 208, flying towards an altitude of 13,000 feet. As we ascended, our emotions began to shift. Nervousness and excitement intertwined, tension and anticipation coexisted, as the unknown adventure in the sky awaited us.Crouching by the cabin door, Frank gave a thumbs-up gesture, symbolizing a safe takeoff, and decisively leapt into the vast blue sky. Surrendering to gravity, the wind enveloped him from all directions, and in an instant, his body plummeted into the clouds."It's about being free in a world that tries to make us conform. Jumping off things is my way of rebelling against conformity."— Jeb Corliss (World-renowned skydiver)   The intense drag and the roaring in the ears made it hard to distinguish the rhythm of my heartbeat. Before I could react, it felt as though an invisible hand lifted me, and the pressure on my spine instantly disappeared. Frank, like a leaf, danced and swirled freely in the sky. Time seemed to freeze, and the rush of excitement drowned out all worries and anxieties.At about 4,000 feet above the ground, Frank pressed the parachute deployment button, and the parachute filled with air, lifting him into a graceful glide through the sky. The warm glow of the setting sun bathed his shoulders, and the breathtaking blue coastline came into full view.     Embracing Risk, Stepping Out of the Comfort ZoneAs the skydiving adventure neared its end, I landed steadily on the soft sand, and the adrenaline gradually faded. My heartbeat returned to a peaceful rhythm. After packing up the parachute, we returned to the normal flow of life, still needing to face gravity and all the obstacles life throws our way.Each adventure is a reawakening of self. In the sky, we learned how to confront uncertainty and how to find balance in freefall. This experience taught us to be just as brave in life. 30-Kilometer High Exploration Mission | From Ground to Stratosphere

For PandaPrank, August 2024 was a truly memorable time. We successfully launched our sneakers 30 kilometers into the stratosphere and safely brought them back to Earth. A dedicated team drove hundreds of kilometers, stayed awake for over 20 hours, and worked tirelessly toward a shared goal, ultimately capturing the rare image of our sneakers coexisting with the sun and the moon. When we decided to pursue this project, no one knew how it would turn out, but when it comes to "MAKE SOME CHANGES," we mean it.The story of PandaPrank’s exploration journey dates back to 2022. Humanity’s pursuit of the stars and the cosmos has been a deep-seated dream since the dawn of civilization. Starting with the first cosmic exploration-themed project in 2022, our quest has never ceased. A persistent desire to get closer to the other side of the sky and a daring spirit to face challenges ultimately brought us to 30 kilometers above the Earth, where we discovered the essence of our brand. "Breaking conventional perceptions, creating an undefined reinterpretation brand."   Let’s rewind to July 23rd, following our journey to chase a sunrise.   "7/23 3:00 PM"We decided to launch the sneakers in the early hours of July 24th, hoping to capture the moment when the sunrise and moon appear together.That afternoon, our team transitioned from the hot and humid coastal region to the northeastern plains. Upon arrival, we immediately rushed to the makeshift workspace. Some team members had already been working late nights for a week, hastily preparing the equipment.The weather conditions weren’t as predicted. The overcast sky in Shenyang made us uneasy, as weather was the key determinant of a successful launch. Rain began to fall as we traveled, and everyone silently checked weather updates, hoping for a smooth operation.     "7/23 9:00 PM"Striving for perfection is never easy—it demands countless compromises. The weight of the equipment would affect the launch altitude or even prevent the launch entirely. The team debated fiercely whether to launch one sneaker or a pair. Everyone was laser-focused, feeling that even shaving off a single gram of weight was significant. What started as a casual remark two years ago had now materialized into a pursuit of an almost impossible goal—a feeling that was truly extraordinary.     "7/24 12:30 AM"We chose the border between Inner Mongolia and Liaoning as the launch site. To complete the launch before sunrise at 4:30 AM, we had to drive there overnight. At this point, the rain had not stopped, and in some places, water on the roads was ankle-deep. Thankfully, the rain ceased by 2:00 AM, and the wind was minimal—ideal conditions for the launch. Hearts began to race uncontrollably.   "7/24 3:30 AM"One hour to launch. We assembled and inspected all components, ensuring the equipment was functioning correctly. Rubber mats were laid out to keep the helium balloon free from dust. Sweat and oils from hands could corrode the balloon, so everyone wore gloves and handled everything with care.As the balloon inflated, it took four people to hold it down. The eastern horizon began to glow faintly red, and we had to speed up. Connecting the balloon to the equipment marked the end of our preparations. Everything happened so quickly that before anyone realized, the countdown had begun.       Breathing slowed, and the previously bustling scene fell silent.Are you ready? The countdown begins.10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1... The journey to explore the sky begins!       You thought the story ended there? Not so fast—we’ve only reached the halfway point. Launching a pair of sneakers is the easy part; the real challenges come after.Around 6:30 AM, the GPS signal updated, indicating a location more than 40 kilometers from the launch site. We rushed to the coordinates to retrieve the sneakers. It was late July, and the cornfields had grown wild. When we arrived, everyone was stunned. Here’s the question: how do you find a pair of sneakers in hundreds of acres of cornfields taller than a person?After two hours of combing through the cornfields, covered in pollen, we had barely scratched the surface—not even 1/100 of the area. Truth be told, we couldn’t measure our progress since the GPS had only provided a general location, which turned out to be a vast sea of corn. After that, the GPS stopped updating, and all leads went cold. As time passed, we began to accept the possibility of failure. Rather than wander aimlessly with no end in sight, we chose to regroup, prepare new equipment, and attempt a second launch.This wasn’t the first challenge we’d faced. Every project comes with its share of obstacles. For PandaPrank, giving up has never been an option. Pushing through and turning things around is the guiding principle we believe in. This is a process that demands strong team alignment—from planning to execution, it’s never a straightforward journey. Fortunately, PandaPrank has never lacked team cohesion.Just when we thought we’d have to start from scratch, the outcome we had silently hoped for but never dared to say aloud finally appeared.Three days after leaving the cornfields, the GPS signal updated again. A new location popped up. We immediately drove to the new site and, just five kilometers from the cornfields, in a small wooded area, we found the sneakers. At that moment, PandaPrank’s exploration mission was complete!   An extraordinary mission, a team that refuses to give up, and a brand that defies definition.   When we reached the finish line, there were so many stories left untold and so many emotions we hadn’t figured out how to express. Words and images could never fully convey what we experienced—the twists and turns defy explanation. Yet, we still want to share this moment, this uncontrollable urge to express our excitement.An extraordinary mission, a team that refuses to give up, and a brand that defies definition. Three years of the “Cosmic Exploration Series” have shown us that the most important part has always been the word exploration. The meaning of exploration lies in the footprints left behind and the reflections that follow each step.     In the end, we succeeded in traveling from Earth to the stratosphere, pausing briefly at 30 kilometers above ground. We’ve always yearned to feel, experience, and explore the unknown.
